With Africa on the brink of progress and stability at the hands of the world's powers, a decision between Mexico and Singapore will affect the lives of those residing in Chad and the coastal regions controlled by the tyrannical government of this African nation.
Shortly after the diplomatic meeting between these countries, anchors were aweigh and one combined fleet made haste for African waters; in hopes of sparing bloodshed as a necessary step in bringing Chad and its neighboring countries underneath the mantle of progress, Singapore and Mexico alike dispatched ambassadors in order to assess the situation and persuade the Chadian officials to seek the wellbeing of their people...
30 Kilometers off Chadian waters
The combined Singaporean and Mexican fleets after a week of their rendezvous, have finally reached the point where Chadian and International waters meet and the ships finally come to a full stop, the perfect opportunity for crewmen and officers alike to slow down their pace for a moment and recover from the fatigue that the voyage took as toll.
Onboard the ARM Tenochtitlan, the Mexican Navy's flagship, the bridge was far from tranquility as officers resolved any remaining matters from the voyage, such as fleet formation, fuel supplies and coordination with the Singaporean vessels, which were for the time being under Mexican command until Chad and its neighboring countries were either liberated or taken care of.
Admiral Tassis was overseeing the operations on the bridge from the comfort of his chair, pondering about how the situation would develop as there were several factors to consider if diplomacy either triumphed or failed in its attempt to bring peace, with the occasional thought about what he would do once he returned to Mexico. However his thoughts were brought to a halt as a voice rather abruptly addressed him...
"Admiral," The voice was youthful and had a formal tone to it.
Tassis looked at the Captain of the Tenochtitlan with a hidden disapproval in his eyes. "What is it Captain?" The Admiral said with a slightly annoyed tone.
"The fleet has reached its destination and there have been no signs of any Chadian forces as of yet, shall we send a scouting squadron? The fleet's sensors have yet to pick up any surface or aerial contact."
"Not yet, remember we are on a diplomatic mission." Tassis said sarcastically. "Be on the lookout for any surface vessels and bring the fleet to yellow alert, something's not right."
"Sir?" The Captain asked.
"Just a precaution, Captain, we must expect everything from even the smallest foes." The Admiral then slightly nodded to the young Mexican officer, dismissing him as he leaned back into his chair, once more deepening himself in thought.
The Captain issued out the order and all ships were on standby, waiting attentively.
OOC: Your turn, Kitty.
